A majority of the imbalances found in human biology found today can be fundamentally attributed to two main causes: Heavy metal toxicity and Microbiome imbalances. We work directly with Dr. Christopher Shade PhD for Heavy Metal Detoxification protocols that require very specific attention. For Microbiome Imbalances and Parasites we work with Raphael d’Angelo, M.D., to identify and naturally heal these imbalances.
The most efficient overall detoxification protocol I personally have ever experienced physically, emotionally and energetically is the Doctor of the Jungle: Kambo, which is why I choose to advocate and administer this medicine to whoever chooses to explore this powerful option.
What is Kambo?
Kambo is traditionally used by Amazonian jungle tribes as hunting medicine. The Kambo frog – phyllomedusa bicolor – has no natural predators and consequently, no fear. Tribespeople take kambo before a hunt so that they, too, are fearless – sharp of eye, quick of foot, agile, energized, able to see their prey and bring it home. Kambo gives them courage, dexterity, strength, and clarity.
We stalk a very different prey in the modern world: Health, happiness, and success lay in our crosshairs and sometimes elude our aim. Kambo removes obstacles from our path and helps us step into our power.
Kambo is an incredible ally; a healer and doctor, a teacher, and a guide on the hunt through life’s jungles.
Indigenous tribes such as the Matses of Peru sing to the frogs at dawn to call them down from the trees. The frogs are then gently tied to four sticks in the ground, spreading them out into a “X.” The tribespeople believe that the frog has a spirit that would be angered if they were to harm it, so they carefully handle each frog with respect. Once tied to the stakes the frog will begin to excrete; this initial secretion will be gently scraped off and applied to a small wooden plank before the frog is released. The strings leave a small white line on each leg which indicates that particular frog should not be milked again until the line has faded two to three months later. This process does not drain the frog of its natural defense and ensures that only the
strongest secretion is applied to the stick. A finished kambo stick will contain the initial secretion of 5-6 frogs. Kambo harvested in this way is considered 100% ethical. Because the frog has no natural predators, it is not at all endangered. The only thing that puts it at risk is the destruction of the Amazon rainforest, its natural habitat. Benefits of Kambo
Kambo is a powerful catalyst for clarity and action. The Amazonian tribes use it to clear what they call “panema,” which they define as a cloudy energy that hangs over a person and causes them to be sick, depressed, tired, unbalanced, angry, etc. Kambo can clear and balance our energy and bring it into homeostatic alignment. The shifts that people feel after kambo, especially after multiple treatments, can be astounding.
Kambo is a doctor – a surgeon, specialist, energy healer, and psychotherapist. There’s a mysterious aspect of kambo that must be experienced to fully understand. The spirit of the frog seems to meld with our consciousness, listen to our intentions, and communicate with our DNA, leaving us in a state of clear health physically, mentally, and emotionally. People often report feeling unblocked after receiving kambo, like a weight has been lifted. Physical health, emotional uplift, and positive forward momentum come naturally, and old patterns of negative behavior and thought are more easily dispelled and changed. Kambo empowers us so that we may empower ourselves.
Physically, kambo clears harmful toxins and helps to eliminate invasive viruses and bacteria. The peptides in kambo, specifically dermorphin, bolster and boost the immune system. Sometimes it takes more than one treatment to begin to reap the full benefits. Three in a lunar cycle, or as close together as possible, is recommended for those new to kambo. People seeking relief from serious or chronic conditions may need to sit multiple times, sometimes consecutively.
Kambo has been used to treat HIV, cancer, fertility issues, Lyme disease, depression, addiction, chronic pain, migraines, organ diseases, skin and eye issues, herpes, candida, infections, arthritis, viruses, autoimmune disorders, and a host of other physical maladies. It is important to note that while there has been scientific research on the peptides in kambo, to date no such study has been done with kambo itself. There is a host of anecdotal evidence and glowing testimonials from happy kambo clients the world over, but as of yet no peer-reviewed scientific studies exist.
Science of Kambo
An Italian scientist and Nobel prize nominee, Vittorio Erspamer of the University of Rome was the first person to analyze Kambo in a laboratory. In 1986, he wrote that it contains a ‘fantastic chemical cocktail with potential medical applications, unequaled by any other amphibian’. The chemicals that he referred to were peptides – short chain amino acids that make up proteins in our body. We are made of water, peptides, and protein. Currently, there are over 70 Kambo patents lodged, mainly in the USA. While scientists have been able to isolate and synthesize some of the peptides in kambo, there is no substitute for the real thing. Some of the peptides in kambo are neuropeptides, which means that they specifically affect the activity of the brain and body by communicating with neurons. Insulin, oxytocin, and endorphins are examples of integral neuropeptides. Other peptides found in kambo are bioactive, composed of a specific chain of amino acids which perform a function that the body recognizes as beneficial. The body opens to kambo at a cellular level, allowing it to clean out deposits left in the cells by foreign substances with no stress to the cells. This combination of peptides is a unique key that unlocks the body, allowing kambo cross the blood-brain barrier rather than being filtered out by the body’s defense system. This makes kambo an extremely powerful way to reach and treat disease.
Kambo peptides include:
- Dermorphin – Dermorphin has an opiate-like effect on mu-opioid receptors, making it a very potent painkiller with effects 30-40 times stronger than morphine.
- Deltorphin – Deltorphin is also a powerful painkiller and delta opioid agonist.
- Phyllomedusin – A neuropeptide that has a powerful effect on intestines and bowels, contributing to the purging often experienced when taking kambo.
- Phyllokinin – This neuropeptide can cause a long-lasting reduction in blood pressure.
- Phyllocaerulein – Another potent painkiller that reduces blood pressure and affects thermoregulation.
- Adenoregulin – A 33 amino acid peptide that works with the adenosine receptor. This antibiotic peptide can have harm-reducing effects against a myriad of bacteria, fungi, and protozoa, including cancer cells.
- Dermaseptin – Induces potent antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast, fungi, protozoa, and enveloped viruses that often cause severe opportunistic infections.
- Tryptophyllins – Highly potent against the yeast candida, may have potential in cardiovascular, inflammatory and anticancer therapy.
“Yes, kambo may be right for you if you’re ready and willing to make the commitment to heal and empower yourself. Kambo is an extremely potent cleanse for the mind, body, and spirit.” It is a revealer and alchemist – it shows us what holds us back and helps us to change our limiting beliefs and behaviors into personal assets. This is warrior medicine, and it requires us to be warriors in receiving it by being very active participants in our own healing. Kambo will clear the way and point us in the right direction, it’s up to us to keep walking with courage in our hearts.
Kambo is an amazing tool, but that doesn’t mean it’s always the right one.
